My neighbour has just gone away and given me her perishable foodstuffs. I now have an incredible amount of bread and don't want to waste it. Anyone got a gorgeous recipe for me? TIA

Haven't ever made it as I'm not keen but there's a Delia recipe here

It took ages to load though and I gave up so I don't know if that link works, you might be better off searching on Delia online.

WideWebWitch · 25/03/2005 17:51

Ah, it did load eventually, maybe it's my pc.

Thank you. Just seen this and it loaded very quickly. Here's hoping it works.

Havn't looked at delias recipie but my mum makes bread and butter pudding using stale bread with marmalade and butter on, cut into triangles and layered in a dish with raisens inbetween the bread. Then you mix 1/2 pint of milk and one egg together and pour over the bread. Takes about 1/2 hour in the oven at 200 degrees (not sure what gas mark this is) Your probebly better off with Delia but this one has always worked for me. Hope this helps you use up some of the bread

There's a Gary Rhodes (yes, I know) one that has about 10000000 calories and is incredibly delicious. I'll gladly type it out, but I guess I'm too late?
