what is the difference between dessicated, flaked and shredded coconut?

It may be obvious, but I have a recipe that calls for half shredded and half flaked coconut (cupcakes) what difference will it make if I just use dessicated?

dessicated is dried. It will be lighter. Maybe you will need a bit more of it than it says

Dessicated has sugar added to it(it's very sweet),flaked doesn't.
