Best 'fruit and veg box' scheme in York area

Hi, after a couple of years of unhealthy eating I have decided I need to sort my diet out, especially as we want to start ttc. I have made a good start but I am fairly unimpressed with the supermarkets veg selection - lots of the veg is fairly tasteless and not great quality. I have hectic weekends and often don't find time to get to the market. A few friends have suggested an organic fruit and veg box which sounds good - I like the idea of tasty local veg (although I know some of the fruit will be imported and I don't have a problem with that) and I think it will get me out of a rut and trying new veg. My friends from London suggested Abel and Cole but I have heard mixed reviews about them in this area. A couple of people also mentioned River Swale or Farmaround. I'd love to hear any recommendations from anyone living near York.

no idea about veg boxes, but have you tried the carrots from the farm on the A64 just after the indian (leaving York towards Malton)?

HTH.

Can strongly recommend River Swale. My neighbour gets Farmaround and likes them too.
