toad in the hole recipe.......

never had this or cooked it before. How do you make it and what do you serve it with. Thankyou

I made toad in the hole yesterday using jamie olivers recipe.

half pint milk
115g plain flour
pinch salt.
3 eggs

1cm depth oil in pan - i used a loaf tin - (a bit too much i thought!)
heat in oven at highest setting
when hot add eight sausages.
when golden colour remove from oven (carefully!!)
pour on batter
in oven for 20 minutes - dont open oven for this time.

( in my oven this was too long and it was slightly burnt!)

remove when golden and crisp.

serve with onion gravy / mash and veg.
