Roast wild boar

Ok, I've never done this before. I'm not even very good at roasting pork.

But it sounds Christmassy, and it's instead of turkey.

Any suggestions?

Would be much appreciated!

I've never done it but lots of French people do. Could you not just ask the butcher you buy it from? Am thinking you may have to order it in advance anyway so could ask then?

Local farmers market does it so we'll just buy it there (sorry if that sounds a bit poncestastic )

Just wondering if there's a good sauce to go with it? I guess I'll be doing something similar to a roast loin of pork, so it's all about crackling perhaps? And stuffing. What kind of stuffing should I do. Can I stuff it properly, or does that then take years to cook, like if you stuff a turkey?

Might come back to thread once I know what sort of cut we've got. Will look at it in the market tomorrow morning but will buy just before Christmas.

Will google french recipes too. Thanks

How easy is it to take the rind of a loin of pork?

Boar is ordered but I think it's going to come with rind attached.

Nigella says take it off.
