My children aren't that bothered about cereal and they always seem to have so much sugar in them anyway.
They usually have toast and marmite/jam/chocolate spread or in a sandwich. The little ones also have banana smoothies (just milk and banana, no icecream in it before I get told off!) Older dd won't drink milk much now which is a shame.
We don't have time to start doing cooked breakfasts. What else could they have? Toast is getting a bit monotonous. Sometimes they have a hot cross bun, but I really think of them as cakes for tea time.
