Are falafels easy to make?
How do I make them?

1tsp oil
1 onion
1 clove garlic
1 can chickpeas
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
Black pepper
1-2 tbs chickpea flour (optional)
2 tbs Chermoula spice*
1tsp oil

*Chermoula
½ onion, chopped finely
1 tsp cilantro leaves
1 garlic cloves
3 tsp cumin
2 tsp mild paprika
1 tsp turmeric
Cayenne pepper
Salt & pepper

? Heat oil in pan, fry onion
? Add garlic & cook for 5 mins.
? Blend chickpeas ? breadcrumbs. Add breadcrumbs, egg & seasoning + garlic & onion. Blend. Add flour if too wet.
? Mix Chermoula spice with 2 tbs water
? 1 heaped tbs chickpea mix ? make into patty. Brush with Chermoula, marinade 20 mins or so
? fry 5 mins each side on low heat
? serve w/ pita, hummus & tabbouli and

Just made a batch of fishcakes and now just want to sit in front of the TV eating choc, so dont know when I'll get around to making them... but will let you know how I get on. I need to get motivated!

Yes, freeze em. But do it before you cook them.
