My dd refuses to eat fruit - except bananas, occasionally - in any shape or form!
Any ideas for cheap, easy, healthy snacks?

raisins, rice cakes, chunks of cheese, bread sticks, carrot sticks?

does your daughter like smoothies? My friend's daughter won't eat fruit but will wolf down smoothies.

Sorry to be an advertisers dream, but have you tried humzingers? (advertised all over MN at the moment?) I think we must have got one free in a bounty pack and it lolled at the back of the cupboard for ages as I assumed it was full of sugar. DH gave it to ds2 a few weeks ago and he LOVED it. Have since bought rather a lot of packets. Not cheap (£1.80 for 10 I think) but healthy, wrapped and easy to dispense! And look like sweets!

Aren't Humzingers full of crap? (haven't checked though, might do in a minute) If my children are hungry between meals the choices are
apples
bananas
mango
melon
satsuma
yoghurt
toast and marmite/peanut butter (but depends on your views on peanut butter)
nuts (likewise and depend son age)
raisins/other dried fruit
sometimes I let ds have scrambled egg since he can make it himself, depending on when food is etc.
Carrots/other veg, roasted maybe, it makes them sweeter
Homemade potato wedges

fig rolls - my DSs love them

WideWebWitch · 22/03/2005 20:19

Nope, looks like I'm wrong about Humzingers, they appear to just be fruit!
