hi all
my dd of almost 5 can be difficult at meal time. eating greens or anything that look vaguely like a piece of vegetable can sometimes be a challenge. we are not veggie but since i suspect dd plays up at creche too during lunchtime i tend to cook vegetarian meals in the evening. I would be grateful if you would share your "wisdom" with me on what works with your kids. To be fair to dd i am not a great cook and I think my veg are probably too blend... thank you very very much

i have a ds who has just turned five and i am having the same problem. must be a phase they go through. if i do a sunday roast, he has mashed potato, mashed carrots (mixed with swede that he doesnt know), yorkshire puds, chicken - wont eat red meat and gravy. He usually wont eat his carrots but i threaten that if he doesnt eat his carrots i will give him peas as well. what about pasta bolognaise? add finely chopped mushrooms, onions and extra tomatoes to the sauce and when cooked mix the pasta into the sauce.

Spag boll. Diced onion, Courgette, carrot etc.

As long as its sweated down we have never had any probs. Even when the SIL came over en troupe with the kids "They will never eat that" they even asked for extra bread to mop up the gravy . Home made garlic bread with parsley 'sprinklings'
