what size slow cooker to get

i think i need a slow cooker as i don't have time to make a meal when getting home from work and get DS (1yo) bathed and off to bed etc. I just can't eat late.

so a slow cooker would be a good solution i think. but what size to get? their is only me, Ds and DH who works shifts. I am thinking bigger is better here as i could do double potions some nights.

I think 3.5 litre would still enable you to freeze a second meal. The next size up is huge and really is for big families.

I've got the massive one (6l I think) and theres only 4 of us. I always do double portions and freeze and would recommend it!
