NAY, use by is there for a reason
If it was best before thats a different kettle of fish(no pun intended)

cali · 01/12/2008 16:45

no, wouldn't risk it as it's 5 days after it's use by date.

captainmummy · 01/12/2008 16:45

Fresh or froz? I'd eat a frozen one out of date but not a fresh one - fish can be nasty when not fresh. Esp not for a dc. It is nearly a week out, after all!

blametheparents · 01/12/2008 16:46

Def not

Malkuth · 01/12/2008 16:47

I think (but could be wrong!) that use by dates are a legal requirement rather than a statement of fact if that makes sense. I usually do the sniff test- if it smells ok I eat it, if I am even vaguely unsure I bin it.
