Banana cake

Does anyone have a recipe for a fool proof(!) banana cake please.

Can find lots for loaves and bread but none for cake!

Banana loaf is just cake in a loaf tin imho

The Dinner Lady cookbook has a great and very easy recipe for banana cake/loaf. Not too many ingredients and very easy to make. My 3 yo helps me.
I can dig it out for you if you like.

8 oz SR flour
4 oz softened butter
4 ripe mashed bananas
2 oz dark soft brown sugar
4 tablespoons golden syrup
4 eggs

Line a 2lb loaf tin and preheat oven to 180c/350f

Mix all ingredients together. (couldn't be easier )

Spoon into tin and bake for 50-55 minutes.

I sometimes add a couple of ounces of crushed walnuts to this.
