Vegetable curry recipe wanted

Anyone got a recipe for a very mild veg curry.
I want to use butternut squash, carrots - and maybe cauliflower as that's what I have available.
Doesn't need to be limited to these veg though.
ds has just started enjoying very mild curries so don't want to put him off.
Thanks in advance.

sorry didnt work, try the food part on the bbc website....

scotlou - do you want this recipe because you're vegetarian? All my family (except me) are veggie and am always on the lookout for new recipes so I'll be looking up the bbc website too.

It's not homemade, I know, but my kids love the Tesco chicken korma sauce. (suitable for veggies). Even my sometimes fussy son wolfs it down.

I have a lovely one that could be adapted for different veggies - my DS2 east it and has been since he was about a year.
Don't have time to post now but, if you're interested, I'll dig it out and come back later!

Tommy - sorry I only go on mumsnet during the week (at work!!) so have just seen your message. If you are able to dig out your recipe that woudl be great.
We're not a veggie family but I am trying to get us all to eat more veg - and I like vegetable curry - just have never cooked it!

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 large onion, finely chopped
2 large carrots, sliced
2 tablespoons curry powder
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1 head cauliflower, broken into small florets
2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed

DIRECTIONS:
Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and carrots; cook and stir until tender. Season with curry powder, turmeric, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Add the cauliflower and potatoes to the pan, and stir to coat with spices. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. Stir occasionally.

I've never heard of red pepper flakes - what are they and where on earth do you find them?

Chickpea curry for babies!

Fry a small onion in oil until soft.
Add 1 crushed garlic clove and a pinch each of cumin, coriander and ginger - cook for about 5 mins over medium heat.
Add 1 tin chopped tomatoes, 1 can chickpeas, 2 tsps tomato puree and 225ml baby stock (unsalted that is - not made from babies )
Bring to boil and let simmer for 30 mins or so.

Much nicer if you make in the morning and heat through later in the day. I also add mixed peppers, cauliflower etc - anything you have around. Put them in with the onion.

Good luck

Forgot to say obviously you can whizz it up for smaller babies and freeze it!
