you can do lots of stuff

At what temp can you leave them on all day. I'm so scared about burning/not cooking through/ food poisoning.

tis easy peasy - chuck your stewing meat in with veg and a bit of boiling water/stock turn on (I put on about 8 or 9 am and we eat at 5.30)

RESULT = open the door at 5 pm to a waft a delicious home cooked comfort food ready and waiting.

loads of recipes including puddings! here (scroll down abit)

just leave it on low

i cook a steak and ale filling in 7 - 8 hours and that is great

am doing a lentil soup tonight and that will be left on until the morning so about 10 hours

SpookyGrrrl · 26/11/2008 09:22

i leave curry, chilli, soup, bolognaise and stew on all day.

ClaireDeLoon · 26/11/2008 09:25

I switch mine on low when I go out to work at 8am ish and its still fine when I get back in at 7pm ish. Things tend not to overcook at all.

I cooked a chicken in mine last night, and put veggies round it. I ow have a cooked chicken and everyone has beautiful chicken soup for lunch.

I adore my slow cooker.
