I had falafels at my friends house, the one I'm cooking for, she used an ordinary shop bought mixture and baked them. The tasted lovely . Dry on the outside instead of crispy like he fried ones but the middle still moist.

herefrom Tesco, the instructions say deep fry but they were put in the oven on a greased tray.

man, i tried once and it ended in comedy/tears (can't exactly remember details but it involved driving across town to get a deep fat fryer).

I've just seen these also Tesco here and these can be cooked in the oven.

I've made them and I'm pretty sure I baked them. Will post recipe if I remember which book it came from.

Think it might be good house keeping cook book.

IIRC they were very tasty but a bit of a faff.
