any ideas what I can use instead? Its for a choc chip cookie recipe. DS will be so upset if he cant bake this afternoon.

The recipe includes soft brown sugar, which I have, but I dont have CS.

You can substitute the brown sugar it will be fine.

can you whizz up some of the soft brown sugar in a food processor? so that it resembles caster sugar consistency.

just use soft brown sugar.. it will work out fine.. jsut be a more caramelly taste to the cookies.. will still be lovely... you can daemerera sugar too...

Use granulated if you've got it, or just more soft brown. Won't be a problem.

sorry, had to nip off for the kids toilet run, then the phone rung... you get the picture

I have granulated, and yes I have a processor, so I guess I could try that.

thanks ladies. Might just run with the extra soft brown sugar, rahter than make more washing up.

ok, here goes. will share them out if you like, a bit later
