ideas for low GI diet....gestational diabetes

I've just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and have to monitor my blood sugar levels 3 times a day. Obviously I know that cake, chocolate and doughnuts are now the devil's food, so I need some inspiration for some quick, easy meals and snacks.

Can anyone help? I intend to feed the family on this diet to make life a little easier, so family meals, breakfasts, any ideas are very welcome.

I shall be very grateful for any ideas at all!

Weight Watchers core food plan is supposed to be great for low GI and could possibly be adapted for family use. If you need normal calories I imagine you would just bump up the quantities a bit.

You can buy the materials on Ebay. You'll probably have to show them to your dietician to double check they're suitable.
