What would you eat for lunch...

I need a non cook (but can reheat) quick lunch. It can't contain, yeast, carbs, pulses, wheat, milk, most dairy, starchy veg like carrots and parsnips or sugar.

Other than soup/broth/salad I'm stumped!

Any help much appreciated, I used to have a sandwich/jacket pot/bowl of soup etc but not any more!

bacon and eggs?

mazzystartled · 20/11/2008 15:32

stir fry - not exactly no cook, but v quick cook and all prep can be done in advance [hot salad really tho' innit]
roast meditterranean veg [with quinoa if allowed]

is it for atkins style diet?

boiled egg and asparagus

Thanks needmorecoffee,

I don't think I can have eggs though, and if I have bacon everyday my arse will grow to mammoth proportions. Plus I work in childcare so any sort of cooking / frying is not ideal.

But would kill for bacon and eggs

Chicken tikka and salad? Marinate your own chicken bits in a mix of tandoori paste and natural yogurt then grill and mix into salad.

Thanks mazzy, stir fry (yay!) good thinking ... med veg could also work, what's quinoa ? I'm just drawing a blank.

It's not for a diet (I like my food far too much to diet!), I have a possible yeast infection in my tummy so have to stop eating these foods as it feeds the infection . V v annoying.

if you're not eating all that other stuff I imagine you can't eat as much bacon as you like! You on the Atkins?
Can you eat potatoes?

mazzystartled · 20/11/2008 15:45

ok, its anti-candida is it?
quinoa is a south american grain, very high protein
can you have brown rice? [there are lots of things you can stir into it - tuna, celery, lemon and parsley; homemade pesto - minus cheese]
i had to do an anti- yeast diet for ibs and eggs were ok as were chickpeas etc.
