Question about pudding bowl sizes for Christmas puddings...

I'm about to start work on a James Martin recipe for Christmas pudding which recommends making it/them in two 1.5 litre (2 3/4 pint) bowls rather than one large on. I thought I had two 'smaller' bowls in the cupboard, but when I poured water into one I realised it was only 1 1/4 pint. So, googled and hunted around on the internet to find who sells 1.5 litre bowls, to be met by a range of what I guess are diameters (e.g. 17cm 18 cm etc). Does anyone know (a) what size bowl I need to be big enough and (b) who sells them? Went into Tesco today but no bowls. Somewhere more specialist?

Thanks everyone!

Have a look on Nisbets website www.nisbets.co.uk - its a trade supplier but sells to the public. Most things you can buy singly & it's usually tons cheaper than the high street.
