meringues and single cream? and pavlovas

have a friend coming for dinner

bought single rather than whipping cream for a pavlova for tonight too much hurrying!

big mistake it wont whipp up

can i add anything to to it to salvage it or will it be meringe and raspberries and single cream poured over?

Sorry, don't know anyway to salvage it, but bumping for you in case someone else does.

I've poured double cream(without whipping it) on crumbled meringue and strawberries before. I like it as much as whipped cream. Single cream should be fine.

definitely meringue and raspberries with single cream.
BUT:
if you smash the meringue up and include a bit of vanilla ice cream with the raspberries and the single cream, you can call it Eton mess.
