Hi

We are goign to Edinburgh for a long weekend next weekend for DH's birthday, can't wait.

Does anyone know of any good restaurants for us to try? We would like t try traditional scottish cuisine.

Thanks

If you are splashing out, then can recommend the One Restaurant in the Balmoral Hotel.

We had a lovely weekend there a couple of years ago and ate at that restaurant and the food was modern scottish, and absolutely gorgeous. The staff were brilliant too, made you feel right at home.

They also have a lovely Champagne Bar for relaxing in for pre or after dinner drinks.

Have a great time.

The New Bell, Stockbridge Restaurant, Dubh Prais - I usually go on those Restaurant reviews sites to get an idea if any good or not. Enjoy Edinburgh!!

The Witchery if splashing out.

Can also recommend Monteiths on the Royal Mile.

Thank you so much for your suggestions, Ive had a look at their websites and my mouth is really watering now- I knew it was a mistake to ask this before lunch!

I love the champagne bar idea, then a meal at Dubh Prais i think- I really want to try haggis! Will see if our pennies will atretch to the Witchery, the Dogs looks very good value.
