Land share - what issues might arise?

We have friends who have a farm a couple of miles away. We are thinking, maybe with another family, of starting a food club / land share and growing vegetables together, keeping a pig and some chickens. We already keep bees on the farm. Has anyone done anything similar? Do you have any tips/advice/caveats?

Sounds fab. The only issue I could imagine is if one family doesn't pull their weight with the work side of things but then wants equal dibs on the produce - would that bother you?

Probably it would bother me. It sounds like a great idea, though, doesn't it?

One thing that worries me a bit is that I am a very hypocritical meat eater - I eat meat but absolutely don't want to kill chickens. (Or empty out the insides) When I was a child I grew up on a farm and didn't eat meat, although I always ate gravy. I don't know if there is a word for a gravy-eating vegetarian. (Apart from hypocrit)
