DS 2 getting worse with food

My DS 2 (aged 5) has never been one for eating - to him it's a chore to have to sit and eat - he is fine with breakfast (will eat ready brek, cereals, toast, croissants etc) eats plenty of fruit - sandwiches for lunch (tuna, cheese, ham etc) but when it comes to evening meals he is getting terrible - he will literally only eat macaroni cheese, spag bol or a roast dinner (no potatoes - both DS's hate potatoes in any form). He doesn't like any of the usual things like cottage pie, fish fingers, stir frys (although loves noodles at Wagamama). He does eat some veg (sweetcorn, peas, carrots, broccoli). Does anyone have a similar problem with evening meals or could suggest simple recipes...!

He is very small and slight for his age and I worry this is because of the food

Thanks

That sounds ok to me tbh, there are many out there with fussy eaters who would be delighted with such eating habits. Maybe slowly push the boundaries of his set meals so that you try to incorporate something extra into the roast or something extra into the mac cheese.

It just seems like a limited range of cooked evening meals - but I suppose if he eats ok at breakfast and lunch, maybe I shouldn't worry as much if he doesn't want much at dinner.
