DD is in reception and takes a packed lunch to school. However, I'm really struggling to give her any variety in her lunchbox as she doesn't eat any of the following:
any fresh fruit
any dried fruit
any cereal bars / flapjacks / Schoolbars
any yoghurt or fromage frais
any raw veg other than carrots, cucumber, peas & corn
also, drinks nothing other than water or plain (white) milk.
I don't actually want to encourage her to eat loads of rubbish, but equally she needs sufficient calories to function, and sufficient food to fill her.
The school (thankfully) is not one that employs any sort of lunchbox police, so no foods are 'forbidden', although obviously they're encouraged to eat as healthily as possible.
Current lunchbox (day after day after day after day) is a wholemeal roll or wrap with some sort of filling (e.g. ham, humous, tuna), a Laughing Cow triangle, a scrubbed carrot, one of those Goodies fruit compote things and a little bag of mini Cheddars or Hula Hoops (so shoot me).
Any fresh ideas? I'm bored just making them.
By the way, when it comes to evening meals she's a really good eater and consumes all kinds of vegetables in their cooked state. Also, please please don't tell me that if I keep putting fruit in front of her she'll eventually eat it, because I've been doing this for 5 years and believe me, she won't!
