DIY castor sugar??

Help! I need some castor sugar (live abroad so it's not easy to get) is it true you can put granulated sugar in the food processor to create your own?? Thanks

you can put it in some greasproof paper or bag and roll it with rolling pin/bottle etc..

I tried this - it ended up as icing sugar!
Caster sugar is made (at Tate and Lyle) by crystallising the sugar syrup under different conditions to granulated sugar - hence finer crystals. (Not much use, but I am full of useless facts!)

You can put it in a blender, that's what I do. Just do it in small batches for a short time. It does work.

I never use caster sugar. Always just chuck in normal granulated sugar without any problems.
