Making a sort of boeuf bourgignonne (sp?) in my slow cooker for lunch tomorrow...put it in about 5ish, but noticed about 7.30 that instead of switching it to high, I'd managed to switch it off! So my question now is, should I cook it on high until midnight (which means me staying up about 1.5 hours later than I really want to...saturday nights just ain't what they used to be ), or can I leave it on low till the morning?
Or would it be better to switch it off, leave it in a cool place overnight and switch it back on first thing, to simmer slowly till lunch?
Can't decide (rather sleep deprived, so decision making not great right now). Please help!!
