can I use apple? Any restrictions on what type of fruit or is it everything? Does it need extra water or yogurt or cream to make it runny?
Never made a smoothie before but have acquired a smoothie blnder thingy.

oh, and can I hide stuff like carrots in it so I get carrots without having to taste them? Cooked or raw?

my main recipe for smoothies is: take fruit that is looking "tired" and that I know won't get eaten out of the fruit bowl. put in juicer. taste. add apple juice/grape juice/yoghurt/honey/nothing depending on what I've got. taste. The exception is kiwi. revotling in smoothies imo. apples would be fine but would need peeling. never done carrot but probably nice too.

I make smoothies using a hand blitzer, so a bit restricted (can't use carrots or apples eg) but my basic recipe is orange juice + a banana + one or two of strawberries/raspberries/other berries/kiwi (sorry hatwoman )/nectarine/mango/peach/pineapple.

Occasionally if I have berries then I'll use milk instead of orange juice but keep the banana and add maybe a dollop of yogurt and some honey if the berries are a bit tart.

Carrot juice is very good mixed with apple juice and ginger. Oh yes, a bit of peeled root ginger in my morning smoothie did great things for my morning sickness or a few leaves of mint can be good too.
