how do you make pittas for babies?

I rather fancy making pittas as dd loves them (and dh and I are adicted). If I make them will I be able to leave the salt out (or most of it) and at what stage should I freeze them? I'll be using a bread machine for the dough.

Why don't you google it? I have to say I wouldn't use a bread machine, as IIRK pitta is unleavened, ie no yeast.

Make the dough and freeze it, or cook em and freeze. Will be fine.

I make pitta bread and freeze them when cooked. Leaving out the salt won't affect the dough, just the flavour but you will get used to it. I never use as much salt as recipes suggest anyway.
this is the recipe I use just adjust the salt levels and enjoy

I haven't done it for a while, but I often make salt-free pittas using a bread machine. Contrary to what all the recipes say, leaving out the salt doesn't really affect anything except the taste (my DH has high BP and has to do serious low-sodium diet, thats why I have a breadmaker).

IIRC it was pretty regular yeasted dough mix - I used wholemeal - with some olive oil in it. Divide it up, roll into balls and roll into flat ovals. put on floured or oiled tray and prove about 20 mins then bake 220C for about 8 mins. I used to freeze them cooked - they are good straight out of freezer and microwaved to thaw and warm.

These come out a bit less flat than bought pitta but we like them - DD thought they were a bit like ciabatta so calls them pitabattas.
