Lego starwars/batman cake !

Help , can anyone give any tips on how to create my 4yr nephew's birthday cake who is mad on lego star wars & batman please?

I did a lightsaber. Got a swiss roll and sliced it in half then stuck two lengths together to make a good size. Put a handle on it too. Wrapped it in roll out icing suger then painted it green (silver on the handle) The cake decoration shop also sold me some glittery stuff to make the lightsaber "glow". Various sweets and liquorice shoelaces on the handle. And I decorated it with little lego men.

I was very smug with the results. I am not normally a cake maker

Oh i did And bored about 20 people rigid with it too LOL
