I have a vague idea there is, but nothing is springing to mind.

Something with teeth maybe?

Cut them in half/quarters with a zigzag pattern to look like teeth? do you just want the ornages on their own, or with something/in something?

WhirlingStirling · 31/10/2008 11:20

Cut them in half, scoop out the orange, fill with red jelly and let them set. Cut them into segments once set and call them blood oranges!

BroccoliSpears · 31/10/2008 12:24

Hmmm - maybe the zigzag teeth thing. I just have a surplus of oranges and a halloween party to go to. Something is niggling on the edge of my brain - I'm sure we used to Do Something with oranges.

Are you thinking of christmas oranges stuck full of cloves that dangle in wardrobes? They're pretty terrifying.

Or, you can cut a segment of orange and cut scary teeth into it, and fit it into the front of your mouth - we used to do that all the time, not just at halloween.

Pawslikepaddington · 31/10/2008 12:50

Oh yeah, that's what you are meant to do, cut teeth out and turn the skin inside out and put them in your mouth

snowleopard · 31/10/2008 12:52

I think we had the skin the right way out and had orange teeth...

Pawslikepaddington · 31/10/2008 12:55

the turning inside out was in one of those really glossy "follow these rules or you are a bad parent and not fun" books

PheasantPlucker · 31/10/2008 12:55

Oh God, you have just put the creeps up me, reminding me of a game called 'Lord Nelson' we used to play at parties when we were little. It involved someone dressing up, blindfolding people. and putting your finger in the squishy bit of an orange - we were sacrred for life........ (Maybe it was a bit quiet in Norfolk in the late 70s....??

PheasantPlucker · 31/10/2008 12:55

SCARRED - sorry!

snowleopard · 31/10/2008 13:07

Yes we did that except it wasn't called Lord Nelson, it supposed to be a donkey's bumhole.
