Hello,

i have some salmon and am going to make salmon fishcakes with them to make it go around. i have to feed 3 children who don't really like spicy food and i will have used my potatoes in the fishcakes. have noodels, rice etc and all the main spices, have some vegies in the cupboard etc.

Please give me some inspiration.

Spinach? I always think spinach goes well with fish cakes, cooked lightly with some lemon, creme fraiche and nutmeg?

cauli cheese.

I don't think you need anymore carbs on the side, I would just do veggies and a cheese sauce.

Infact, I think I'm going to do fishcakes now. Thanks

I was going to say spinach as well. Goes really well. I'd say you don't need pasta or rice or any other carbs, as you have the potato in the fishcakes.

Couscous salad. V quick to prepare.

Just veg - peas or runner beans or spinach and maybe sweetcorn. You don't need another carbohydrate because of the potatoes in the fish cakes.

I was wondering about the carbs on the side but 3 HUNGRY children who eat me out of house and home.

Have makings of both spinach and cauliflower cheese - but the cauli is a purple one - that will make an interesting coloured dish
