Does brown rice go completely soft like white rice or stay a bit crunchy?

I'm making paella with brown rice and just wondering if it will be soft. Just so I know when it is ready. Thanks

no, it doesn't go completely soft. has more bite than white.

Still a bit crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle (armadillo ).

It won't be as soft as white rice because brown rice is like white rice but with the outside left on. The inside will be soft but the outside will have a bit of bite left in it.

And (imo) the flavour is much nicer (sort of slightly nutty)

I prefer the flavour of brown rice tbh, white is quite bland. Think it's nearly ready now then, really looking forward to it. Thanks everybody.
