DD (just one) doesn't like bread. What else to try?

Pitta bread didn't go down well either.

I'm stuck for meal ideas for her uncooked meal each day. Any ideas MNer's?

Are crackers too salty?

Other than the bread thing she is really unfussy.

Crackers are ok.
Ryvitas are good.

Breadsticks?

Flossish · 16/10/2008 13:16

yup, she likes breadsticks. Will try ryvitas although if she likes them I will start to question whether she is really mine...

Or I could just go to greggs every lunch time I suppose!

My dd didn't like bread to start with either. I didn't make a fuss but kept trying, she eats it fine now with lots of soft cheese on it. She is 17mths now.
She is still not keen on toast, she prefers to suck the butter off and leave the soggy toast.
The only bread she always liked was a soft roll with tuna and mayo on.

Does she need bread? How about just little cubes of cheese, ham, cucumber, part cooked carrott followed by some fruit or a couple of fromage frais.

Well she loves everything other than bread iyswim. Tomatoes especially! She will basically clear the plate other than bread. Its fine but I just want her to have something extra so will try crackers I expect!

I'm sure when we've been out she has eaten rolls so will try that again!

Flossish · 16/10/2008 13:27

Was thinking of nann as well but didn't go with lunch I had planned today!

Tortillas/chipatis rolled tight
Bagels
Naan bread

Nbg · 16/10/2008 13:28

Bagels are great because you can still make sandwiches from them but its not like bread is it.

Plus the shape is sometimes a novelty to young ones.

I second the bagels idea. My ds won't eat bread but will eat bagels - because he likes the hole in the middle.
