I've had some left over mash potato in the fridge since sunday night, is still ok to use for the kids tea tonight?

I would say yes - we always fry leftover mash in a little bit of oil over a high heat - keep turning it, it goes crispy and is delish (or mix it with a beaten egg at the same time, or grate some cheese over it).

It'll be fine - also next time you could add in some flour - couple of tablespoons and then mix up and shape into flat rounds and fry - hey presto you have potato cakes - yumm with sausages etc
