Do I just grate the side of a lemon??

Am making Jamies chicken & cous cous. Just hope it turns out better than the chicken and lentil hotpot which was rubbish

yes!

Yes - but give it a good wash with a bit of a scrub - lemons (except organic ones) are covered with a thin layer of wax to preserve them better.

you want the yellow bit, not the white bit underneath. ie don't grate down to the flesh/fruit.

lol custy, I am actually quite a good cook with basic things like sunday dinners or a good spag bol.

I just cant be doing with fancy schmancy ingredients like lemon shouldve just used my squeezy one in the fridge

If you don't need to use the juice, you can pop the 'zested' lemon onto a shelf in the fridge. It seriously freshens up the fridge and gets rid off 'I should have thrown that away a fortnight ago' type smells.
