Marmite bread in the breadmaker

Thought I'd have a crack at this today - so substetuted the salt for marmite.

It was rolf!

Of course now I have just realised that tsp is tea spoon not table spoon. I wondered why it always tasted yeasty.

I make marmite bread in breadmaker.
Basic white recipe - add couple big teaspoons marmite (using normal spoon not measuring thingy) into the liquid before putting flour in.

Tis yummy (you either love or hate), very crusty and gorgeous when toasted.

Do you still ad more salt on top of the marmite?

It might have been my two tablespoonfulls of yeast that did it...

i add the salt from the basic white recipe - however i don't add quantities of salt/sugar the recipe suggests even when doing basic white.

my basic white recipe:

1 and 1/8 cup warm water
3/4 teaspoon (measuring thingy) salt
3/4 tablespoon (measuring thingy) sugar
2 tablespoon (measuring thingy) veg oil
3 cups strong white flour (tbh i mix it up a bit depending on what flour i got in)
1 sachet dried yeast

So doing marmite bread, i'd add the marmite to that recipe (before the flour goes in)

1.5lb - i find that the 2lb loaf rises so much it lifts the lid on the breadmaker.
