Stupid (and slightly dull) question: Can I bake a shortcrust pie in pyrex dish or does it have to be ceramic?

oh my word that WAS dull!
Sorry I didn't get to that when it was fresh and somewhat duller

did it turn out nice?

wem · 09/10/2008 16:27

I did say it was dull! Ok, might have underplayed the dullness, but there was some warning!

Haven't made the pie yet, missing an ingredient or two, but at least now I know I don't have to buy a whole new dish to make it.

I'll be sure to update when I make the pie, don't want to leave the story on a cliffhanger now do I?

if you stick a metal baking sheet in the oven when preheating it'll give the base of the pie a head start and should help crisp the bottom. What kind of pie?
