Ideas for figs

I've just bought some bargainous figs from the supermarket and now need to do something with them. I've only ever had them cooked by a friend with gorgonzola (yum, but none in the house) or in fig roll biscuits What can I do with them? Doing a nice main tonight and fancy a posh figgy dessert too (will be eating it while watching The Restaurant so need something gourmet in honour of Monsieur Raymond!)

i cut them in half and eat with manchego cheese and a peach if i have one in.

pizza express used to do a lovely dessert of baby figs in some sort of marsala wine syrup with coffee...

I have made a fig tart before but unfortunately can't find the recipe.

I blind baked a sweet pastry case, halved the figs and placed them cut halves down, then made a kind of sweet egg custard, poured it around the figs (the fig should still be visible, the bake until the custard is set.

It is best eaten warm rather than hot.
