Something nice to do with manky plums?

Bought a punnet of plums yesterday, half of which turn out to be furry. Think I can salvage enough for a pudding, but don't know any recipes.

Hints/tips please?

Make sponge mixture.
Spread in bottom of square cake tin.
Embed cut-up plums (tightly packed) in mixture
Sprinkle very very liberally with a mixture of dark soft brown sugar mixed with generous amount of cinnamon, ground cloves and mixed spice.
Cook til sponge is done and the plums ar juicy and the sugar all stcky and caramelised in the plum juice.

Serve warm with ice cream, cream and / or custard.
