Recipe for breadsticks please!

Does anyone have a recipe for breadsticks please? I know I can buy them and that it's probably more hassle than it's worth making them but would like to have a go! Thanks in advance.

450g (1lb) strong white of wholemeal bread flour
1x7g sachet fast-action yeast
pinch of salt (optional)
50g (2oz) butter
4tbsp olive oil
200ml (7fl oz) water at room temp

heat over 200 / gm6
mix flour, yeast, salt (if using)
melt butter pour into flour with oil and water. mix to make a firm dough
divide into about 30 and make into long pencil shapes (length of hand)
put on greased baking sheet and brush with oi
bake for 20mins
wire rack to cool completly

i made these the other day and think i got the yeast bit wrong, or something. they were rock hard.
