I make the best mashed potatoes in the world btw (just thought I'd mention it for the benefit of those who think they do!)

emkana · 02/03/2005 20:01

You only think that because you haven't tasted mine

Juliehafrancis · 02/03/2005 20:05

Just got back from Pizza express where Dd and I had their filled pasta with cream, ham and parmesan with garlic dough balls and salad! First meal of the day which is just as well as I think that was well over 1500 calories - oops!!!

Juliehafrancis · 02/03/2005 20:06

Whats your recipe for mashed potatoes JanH?

nutcracker · 02/03/2005 20:12

Have just had a M&S chicken tikka. Not sure i liked it though.

Janh · 02/03/2005 20:23

Main ingredient is about 250g of utterly butterly (or equiv) - plus floury spuds and some milk. I think it's the utt butt that makes the diff though!

My mash does have many fans though. DD1 had an American friend here last week, when I did the same chicken casserole + mash, and she couldn't get enough of it and said it was the best food she'd had since she came over here (not sure when that was mind you!) so I was v pleased

Going to do baked sweet potatoes tomorrow, possibly with beans on the side.

DecafArabica · 04/03/2005 19:54

jacket potato with cheese, beans and a veggie sausage (for DS) and a lovely Indian takeaway for us!!

Whizzz · 04/03/2005 19:59

DS tucked up in bed. So just about to disappear & tuck into M&S curry & a bottle of white wine ! Yum - our Friday night treat !

purpleturtle · 04/03/2005 20:00

tuna burgers - yes, as horrible as they sound. Why oh why did we give up meat for Lent? Mince is so useful on those can't really be bothered to cook days.

Bozza · 04/03/2005 20:31

Meatloaf, roast potatoes, brocolli, roast swede and whole roast baby onions (forgotten the name ). That was all of us including 9 mo DD. She had the swede and pot as finger food and the rest of a spoon. Followed by strawbs.

Angeliz · 04/03/2005 20:40

goreousgirl · 04/03/2005 20:41

Hulababy · 04/03/2005 20:52

Bozza · 04/03/2005 21:13

Bozza · 04/03/2005 21:14
