Please help.... I've volunteered to make a peppa pig birthday cake for my daughters 3rd birthday, but I can burn water....

Oh Dear......
I've been challenged by my DH to make my DD a peppa pig birthday cake for her 3rd party! The only problem is, I could easily burn water, and he knows this!!
But now my DD has seen me on the net, looking at cakes and has her heart set one. So the gaunlet is laid and the rules are;
1)I cannot cheat and buy one, it has to be home made
2) I'm not allowed any help to actually make it
BUT i'm appealing for recipes and help with how to make it!! Please help ladies!!!

Is it a sponge cake you want to make?

I don't think that is an impossible challenge!

If you're not a natural baker, get a carrot cake mix from the shop, and then add a cup full of raisins (soaked in hot water and then drained) a large ripe mushed banana, 2 tablespoons of desicated coconut, 3 grated carrots... mix it all up and cook about 160 for 55 minutes.

Get two round tins, a big one and a little one. Obviously grease and line tins. NO lazy hoping for the best! Won't work.

For the pink icing, I'd suggest 1/2 philadelphia 1/2 butter with icing sugar and a drop of pink colouring.

Liquorice allsorts for the eyes and nose. roll out marzipan really thinly for the clothes/legs/arms!?? You can get roll out icing too. What fun you're going to have making it. Well. I'd have fun!

Thank you so much! I was thinking of a sponge cake because Molly is a bit picky with what she eats; but it might be fun to do a carrot cake mix.
I'm even more determined to do it because my mother-in-law asked Molly who was going to make her birthday cake and my DH shouted from the other room "ASDA!" (other supermarkets are available )
I will not be defeated by some flour and marzipan!!
