Beef stew/casserole

Anyone have any nice beef stew recipes as befits this horrid, rainy Saturday?

Chop meat into small bite size pieces- use skirt ot blade steak.
COver in flour and fry in hot pan to brown.
Only fry a little at a time or they will steam.

Chop turnips, carrots, celery and leeks into small pieces- Add steak and veg to casserolle dish add water to cover with some sort of stock - I use comptons gravy salt.

Cook on 150 degree celsius for about 3 hours keep stirring

Half an hour before eating make some dumplings according to the atora suet instructions- add to caserole dish and cook for 30 mins

Serve with pots
