uh - cook some sausages with a sauce from what you have??

be brave - go off piste without a recipe

Dropdeadfred · 03/10/2008 11:41

sausages semi cooked, then laid in a dish and covered in gravy placed in oven for remaining cookin time (or a tin of tomatoes)

Lovemyshoes · 03/10/2008 11:42

We love braised sausages in our house.

I lightly brown the sausages, chop potates and sling it all in the slow cooker (if you have one), if no slow cooker, put in oven on a low heat until potatoes are cooked and then serve with any other veg (sweetcorn is particularly nice)

Kif · 03/10/2008 11:42

braised sausages to me is what you get when you cook sausages in the slow cooker (brown first), perhaps with a few veg and bits tucked around

i thought braisd sausages were with red wine - which i dont have

sausages, onions, red pepper. Brown. Red wine, tin of toms, tiny bit of chilli. Cook until thick and sticky. Yum

nailpolish · 03/10/2008 11:49

dont have any red wine
