The ratio should be 2 oz flour to 1 oz sugar and 1 oz butter.

Actual amounts - depends how much fruit you got, and how hungry you are, but I'd go with 8 oz flour for my favourite dish which is about 10 inches square and 2 inches deep!

Oh, and that would be for 4 bramley apples.

ooh don't have that much apple! lol.

more like 4 small ones from the tree - can I use eating apples to pad it out?

Yes, but you probably won't need to sweeten it. Sorry I didn't say, I'd add some sugar to the Bramleys, but if it's mostly eating apples and blackberries then it's probably sweet enough. It depends really how much you want - if it's just a dessert/treat for you and DS then you might want to keep it small anyway. Also depends what size of dish(es) you want to put it in!

I'm not helping here am I

If you just wanted to do 2 ramekin dishes, then 2oz flour would probably do it.

lol. i've done double what you said n will add an eating apple (the others aren't bramley but not sweet)

DS went a bit sugar happy pouring it in!)
