I am supposed to be making chocolate crispies for my nephew's birthday party this afternoon but I can't find the book I wrote it out in. It is one from a book my mum used to use.

IT DOESN'T USE MELTED CHOCOLATE but golden syrup, drinking chocolate, butter and cornflakes.

If anyone can help please let me have your recipe...thanks

That sounds like the one in the dinner lady book...

CHOCOLATE KRISPIES
55g butter
115g golden syrup
55g drinking choc
3 tbsn milk
115g rice crispies

Melt butter, add syrup & boil for a minute.
Sift drinking choc into syrup, mix well, add milk and vanilla extract if wanted, fold in rice crispies - Voila!

Thankyou - you have saved my bacon!
