Am planning to make ham in coke after reading the recent thread

Have twice as much as I need (two vacuum sealed packs) because lunch guests just cancelled. No freezing instructions on packet.

Can I just freeze one of the packs "raw" or should I cook it and freeze it? I wouldn't normally think twice about throwing it in the freezer but for some reason DH thinks it's a bad idea.

I've never heard that you couldn't freeze it - it is certainly something I do myself, without any ill effects. Never even thought about it!

Thanks MaryBS. Would it last until xmas in the freezer do you think?

I would think it would last till Christmas. Its only 3 months away , and IMHO meat will be OK in the freezer for 3 months. Of course today might be so enjoyable, that you want it again NEXT week!

I like cooking mine in cider and glazed with dijon mustard
