Has nayone made Turkish delight?

I'm thinking of making it for xmas pressies.

the only recipe is for the rose one which I'd like to attempt. We went to a food fayre last week and they had the most amazing flavours, strawberry, coconut etc but they all looked really smooth so I am assuming they use essences rather than strawberry juice etc? Anyone know.

Here is a recipe that looks similar to the one I used. I would imagine that a decent quality producer would probably use flavour extracts rather than essences as they are natural.

i love turkish delight. they had some greek equivalent in lidl a few weeks ago which was so lovely, i had to go back twice to buy more

it began with an 'L' and was described as some sort of sweet resin based sweet.. can;t remember the name

I wouldn't bother making it. Why when you will never do it as well as they do?
