microwave it?

Aitch · 25/09/2008 15:56

shake it a lot, take it off the heat before it stops popping, just when the popping slows. leave it to stop, then serve into bowl immediately.

Seeline · 25/09/2008 15:56

Do you need a bit more oil in the pan?

BlingLovin · 25/09/2008 15:57

Make sure oil is at least fairly hot before you start?

ruddynorah · 25/09/2008 16:00

keep pan moving. plenty oil.

expatinscotland · 25/09/2008 16:01

get one of those duck air poppers.

the kids love 'em!

twoboots · 25/09/2008 16:17

just figured out my malfunction- using olive oil. time for a bowl of buttered and an episode of twin peaks.

Use vegetable oil. Of course, you can use butter too but most packs rec veg oil.

jobschmob · 06/10/2008 21:18

i use olive oil, works fine

CatMandu · 06/10/2008 21:21

how do you microwave it?

hana · 06/10/2008 21:35

I use olive oil
you need to keep shaking and moving the pan once it starts to pop

you can only microwave popcorn if it comes in 'microwavable packs'

CatMandu · 06/10/2008 21:55

That's what I thought.

Pinkyminkee · 06/10/2008 21:57

I microwave regular popcorn in a pyrex casserole dish. Works fine. Tells you how long to do it for on the packet.

Pinkyminkee · 06/10/2008 22:02

60g popping corn into lided dish cook for 2.5-3 mins
remove from m/wave and spinkle with either salt or sugar.

CatMandu · 06/10/2008 23:08

Ohhh thank you pinky, I love popcorn and don't get it right on the hob hence the curiosity. Will try it tomorrow.

cheesesarnie · 06/10/2008 23:12
