In a bid to eat less meat I have bought a packet of dried egg noodles for the kid's teas.

What do I do with them?

I have plenty of veg in but no meat or fish.

"Plain noodles with ham and frozen veg chucked in - very easy and quick. My ds loves it."

The above is colditz's post from Aug 2005!Do you cook the frozen veg first?

These are Asda egg noodles, medium.

Per 100g is 0.4g sodium so I think 2 1/2 times that is the salt content.

They have had fresh egg noodles before and rice noodles but none dried.

Also got cheese and onion rolls inthe oven in case they hate the noodles.

I also want to make them into dinner for Dh and I so grown up ideas will be good too as he expects man food.

I use egg noodles to make stir fry.

Chop up veg (mixture of carrots, broccoli, cabbage, red onion and ginger). If you chop up loads in one go then you can freeze it for the next time. Or you could cheat and buy a ready pack of chopped veg.

Make up marinade with white wine vinegar, lemon juice, honey and soy sauce.

Fry veg in oil, and if you want you can also add cashew nuts or cubes of tofu. Then add noodles to pan and mix together with marinade.

Egg noodles are the best. I use them when I do a stew. They cook fairly quickly.

I would do an alfredo sauce, cook the veggies, cook the noodles, mix it all together and call it a day.

I have only got frozen veg in.

I had thought I would cook the noodles as per the packet, put some veg on top and grated cheese.

Perfect,

Just cook the frozen veggies (that's all I ever do with pasta), cook the pasta, and add marinara sauce and call it pasta primavera.

I did the veg, chucked in the noodles and they had them with some ham. DS1 loved it, DD hated it, refused to eat it and went in a strop taking off her clothes; and DS2 ate it but it isn't a favourite.
